Description

A figure of a deer (male) with a modeled elongated muzzle and legs joined in pairs. The figurine is covered with linear painting from head to tail. In a number of cultures, the deer is associated with the Sun deity. In CucuteniTrypillia settlements, deer horns are occasionally found with sacred objects. It may indicate their use as ritual attributes. It is quite likely that the tribes of CucuteniTrypillia culture used deer figurines during various rites (for example, sacrifice or initiation).
